Call for tougher terror laws

With Indonesia's most wanted militant Noordin Top still at large, many security experts here are calling for tougher laws to fight terrorism.

From this i greatly feel that in this world that we are living in, there are many imminent dangers that no one can foresee. Thus, we all must always stay alert and be prepared for anything even in the worst case scenarios. Even though Singapore and Malaysia is currently still safe from terrorism, this is only because the authorities work hand in hand with the people. We certainly cannot afford to let our guards down and give those evil terrorists a chance to strike and kill many innocent lives!

Terrorists have strike at many places. Take for example the September 11 attacks. It was a series of coordinated suicide attacks by Al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001. On that morning, 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners and intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. That killed everyone on board and many others working in the buildings.

Another incident is the 7 July 2005 London bombings which was a series of coordinated suicide attacks on London's public transport system during the morning rush hour. There were fifty-six people killed and 700 injured.

You can also play a part in helping to make Singapore to be terror-free by informing the authorities when we see any suspicious items or personals. Be vigilant!
